On December 14, 2014, NFC signed the general contract for the Kazakhstan Aktogay Copper Concentrator Project with KAZ Minerals Group, under the witness of Li Keqiang, the previous Premier of the State Council of China, and Massimov, the previous Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. The Project is located in Aktogay, south of East Kazakhstan, where the Aktogay Copper Mine is a world-class large-scale open-pit copper mine, with the proven resources of 1,719 billion t (calculated according to JORC criteria). NFC is responsible for the construction of the sulfide ore concentrator with an annual processing capacity of 25 million t and the supporting infrastructure for the Mine, the equipment and materials supply, equipment installation, and civil construction. After two years of joint efforts of all members of the Project Department, Aktogay Project was officially completed and put into operation on March 3, 2017, with the support and assistance of external forces such as the Employer, the Designer and affiliated supervision units of the Company.
