NFC signed a contract with Hindustan Zinc Ltd. for the SKM Shaft Project in India. The Project is located in the Sindesar Khurd mining area, 90 km northeast of Udaipur city in Rajasthan, India, and is the second sinking and driving project undertaken by NFC after the Zambia KCM Shaft Project. It is also the first overseas mine production mixed shaft project contracted by Chinese enterprise at a depth of more than 1,000 m. The Project includes the engineering design, technical consultation and project management, the shaft excavation, underground chamber development, shaft equipment, steel structure supply, and equipment supply, installation and commissioning. The Project was officially commenced on May 15, 2013, and the owner issued the project completion acceptance certificate on September 5, 2019, marking its successful completion.
