At the invitation from Kazakh Ministry of Investment and Development, NFC president Wang Hongqian attended the round table meeting for Chinese Business Leaders under Kazakh-Chinese Framework of Capacity Cooperation held in Shanghai, 3 September, 2016. The meeting is co-hosted by Kazakh Ministry of Investment & Development and China Chamber of International Commerce (ICC China) and chaired by Kazakh First-Deputy Premier Bakytzhan Sagintayev, discussing specifically on how to further enhance the scale and efficiency of bilateral cooperation under Kazakh-Chinese Framework of Capacity Cooperation. Several Kazakh ministries and major Chinese companies and financial institutions like PetroChina, China Telecom, Sinomach, CDB, Bank of China and Silk Road Fund. With the background of the upcoming G20 Summit, this round table meeting shows Kazakhstan’s high expectation on bilateral capacity cooperation and diversified economic and trade cooperation.

As guest speaker, Mr, Wang introduced NFC’s EPC projects’ progress in Kazakhstan. By now, NFC has invested over USD 82 million and contributed approximately USD 150 million of tax, providing about 1500 jobs for local people. In 2015 alone, NFC paid over USD 70 million of tax, ranking 7th among construction companies in Kazakhstan and the 1st among industrial companies in state Pavlodar. Meanwhile, NFC also proactively shoulder its social responsibilities for the welfare of local people as one of the major Chinese companies investing and constructing in Kazakhstan. Mr. Sagintayev highly appraised NFC’s achievements and activities in Kazakhstan.
